Bornholm Fishing Trip

On a fishing trip to Bornholm, a Danish rocky island in the Baltic Sea, I made some pictures of the experience. It was off season and cold. Not so much fun if you are a general tourist, but if you are after seatrout it is perfect. In late autumn or early spring Bornholm is a great place to fish – if you are dressed for it! It also helps to have a warm fire to get back to after long hours in the freezing water. Once you get past the cold, though, it is beautiful, quiet and full of fish and just a wonderful place to be.

On a fishing trip to Bornholm I was enthralled for a moment by the powerful surf. Along most of the Danish shores we have calm seas, almost like very big lakes compared to the open ocean. These waves held unusual power for me. Read more about me, my photography and my blog at my webpage and buy prints and downloads at my galleries.
